The earliest symptoms associated with herpes infections, including pain, blisters, or burning, is when you must begin using Famvir. Take Famvir with a glass of water. You can take it with or without a meal, but eating with the dose may help prevent an upset stomach. Continue using Famvir for the entire course prescribed by your doctor. Don't quit taking it when your symptoms improve, or you may not receive the full benefit of the medication. If you have active sores from shingles, chicken pox, or herpes, keep them clean and dry. Wearing loose clothing will keep them from becoming irritated. Famvir Side Effects? While you are taking Famvir, you may experience some side effects such as tingling in your hands or feet, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, a headache, or itching. Tell your doctor if you experience these side effects. If you experience an allergic reaction to Famvir, get emergency medical care. Symptoms include closing of your throat; difficulty breathing; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives. Famvir Warnings?
